Flooding, wildfires, tornadoes, and hurricanes impact more and more people each year.
Together with Ford we are building on our longstanding relationship with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves global communities before, during and after natural disasters and crises.
Team Rubicon Powered by Ford is a five-year commitment focused on deploying a fleet of Ford vehicles to communities in the wake of natural disasters, scaling the disaster-relief work that Ford has been committed to over the last nearly 25 years.
Ford Fund is investing $2.5 million in Team Rubicon operations and Ford is donating 17 vehicles expanding the organization’s reach in underserved communities impacted by natural disasters.
The Ford Fund has been a champion of Team Rubicon for years — investing nearly $1.5 million in the organization and deploying Ford employees to work alongside Team Rubicon’s Greyshirt volunteers as part of the Ford Volunteer Corps.
Ford Volunteer Corps will have the opportunity to join Team Rubicon’s Greyshirts in more missions across the U.S. as the number of people impacted by natural disasters continues to grow.
Team Rubicon’s fleet will now include 47 Ford vehicles, including F-150, Super Duty and Lightning trucks and Bronco SUVs. These vehicles are uniquely equipped to power Team Rubicon’s mission in the hardest hit regions, enabling them to quickly clear roads for emergency responders and provide life-saving support.
"At the heart of Ford is our commitment to help out our communities in times of need and encourage our employees to volunteer their time and talent to help others,” said Bill Ford, Executive Chair. “The reality is weather-related disasters in the U.S. are becoming more frequent and more severe. That’s why we are significantly expanding our relationship with Team Rubicon, donating a fleet of vehicles and deploying manpower where it is needed most."

BUILT TO SERVE. POWERED BY GREYSHIRTS.
Team Rubicon was founded by two Marines in the wake of Haiti’s devastating earthquake in 2010. Since then, the organization has expanded to 160,000 Greyshirt volunteers and deployed its teams to more than 1,100 natural disasters and humanitarian crises around the world. Team Rubicon is led by veterans whose operational expertise, commitment to service and tenacity enable their teams to reach underserved communities disconnected from aid and other services.

EMPLOYEES GIVING BACK
In 1999 an earthquake struck Turkey and the company mobilized vehicles, volunteers, and other lifesaving aid in the region. This tragedy led to the current Volunteer Corps and became the launching point for our disaster relief efforts across the world. Ford Volunteer Corps offers in-person and virtual volunteer projects all year long with thousands of employees giving back to their communities every year. Ford employees can also sign up to volunteer alongside Team Rubicon’s Greyshirt volunteers.
