Creating healthier communities, one garden at a time
MIAMI — Health in the Hood is a nonprofit fighting hunger in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Founded in 2013 with one urban vegetable garden, Health in the Hood has since grown to nine urban farms producing fresh food for families in need. Health in the Hood believes it is putting children on the path to a healthy future with nutritious vegetables and useful information for parents.

In 2021, with support from Ford and Ford Fund, Health in the Hood launched an eight-week meal delivery program to provide thousands of fresh meals to families in their local community.
