Learning to read is a lesson for a lifetime
PHOENIX — Read Better Be Better was founded as a response to the literacy crisis in Arizona, where 66% of 3rd graders from low-income families do not read at grade level. Read Better Be Better is working to change that with a variety of after school and in-home literacy programs. The nonprofit believes with proper reading intervention, there is an 89% chance that students who can read at grade level by the end of 3rd grade will graduate from high school, regardless of their socio-economic status.
